Watch video about the emergence of political parties.  Pay close attention to the disagreements between the Federalist and Republican parties.


Task 1: With a partner you will make an animated video using Go!Animate. You can  choose to use the "Quick Video Maker" which uses templates.  On the other hand, you can pick "Full Video Maker" which allows you to create a video from scratch.  Make sure that you illustrate in your video the disagreements between the Federalist and Republican parties. 

<i>Political Parties</i>Task 2: Use a search engine to find current information about the Republican and Democratic parties.  Then pick a policy issue, such as guns, and create a chart to show their differences of opinion.  You can make the chart in a Word document or by hand. This is to be completed independently. 

 Task 3: Use the following resources to find out the beliefs of third party political groups.  Chose one and prepare a campaign speech and video yourself.
