The Crucible-Prereading Explorations

The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, is a play that is based upon the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Hysteria spread across the small village of Salem, MA, and innocent lives were lost. This type of hysteria is not solely pertaining to this one instance. History has repeated itself and continues to repeat itself. With the use of this webquest, students will be able to study the facts of the case in Salem, MA, as well as other instances of hysteria. After completion of this webquest, students should be able to compare and contrast the incidents, as well as apply them to possible current situations.
