A legal secretary prepares and processes a lot of the paperwork needed for a legal transaction or court cases. Legal secretaries spend a lot of time interacting with people in person. They inform clients about the progress in their cases and other legal matters. Spending time with assistants and secretaries in offices is another thing they do. Legal Secretaries in the family law department spend their time preparing documents that are needed for separations, divorces, and adoptions. So basically a legal secretary prepares documents for lawyers, hospitals, schools, and other businesses. Legal secretaries make up to $50,000 a year. To be a legal secretary you have to be able to speak good English and have a High School Diploma. Taking courses dealing with law and government will give you background information on becoming a legal secretary.
