Description: Students will learn about the historical and cultural contexts of the Harlem Renaissance and will explore how the visual and performing arts associated with this movement arose in response to these contexts. Students will work alone or with a partner to investigate an artist or art form associated with the Harlem Renaissance, contributing to a classwide exhibition on the art of the Harlem Renaissance.
