Asthma Health Promotion
Welcome
Welcome: Asthma Health Promotion
Description:
Asthma is a major health issue with a high rate of hospitalizations. Increased community air pollution fosters one of the highest asthma rates in children.
The intended health promotion plan is to provide prevention strategies. The strategies of patient education on the disease process, control of
environmental factors (triggers) that affect asthma, and consistent and correct use of preventive medication will assist the community to improve
asthma management behaviors for a life without limits. Asthma Health Promotion will increase awareness of asthma burden and expand the knowledge
about early symptom recognition using the Asthma Action Plan. Because asthma has no known cure, the most effective way to manage it is by
preventing the need for frequent, costly medical treatment due to uncontrolled symptoms and attacks.
