Description: Enduring Understandings; Students will understand that: 1.) There are holidays and traditions that are unique and vary from country to country. & 2.) Languages vary from country to country. Objectives: 1. Students will understand that the Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday where people remember their deceased love ones. 2. Students will understand that there is specific Spanish vocabulary needed to discuss buying souvenirs and meals on their trip to Mexico. 3. Students will understand that the Day of the Dead celebrations have very traditional customs that pertain to this holiday.
