Welcome: Biomes
Description: Biomes are defined as "the world's major communities, classified according to the predominant vegetation and characterized by adaptations of organisms to that particular environment" (Campbell).The purpose of this web quest is to introduce students to the different kinds of Biomes (Characteristics) and how these biomes are dispersed throughout biosphere with unique Flora and Fauna living in a particular biome. Students will use the internet to research the different Kinds of biomes, their climatic conditions, temperature, rainfall and the biodiversity of that Biome and then present that knowledge in the form of an informational pamphlet or Poster. Research findings and the final product will then be presented to the class.
