Description: Of the patients, nurses and other health care professionals care for in acute care setting,long-term settings or any other settings including home care settings, there is a population of patients who diagnosed with terminal illnesses and receiving end of life care. While there are many instances where these patients receive quality end-of-life care, there are also many instances where the care received is not of high quality and holistic. In this Webquest, a discussion on improving quality in end-of-life care through holistic assessment and management will be presented to enable nurses to be provide not only adequate but holistic care to patients in end-of-life care.
