Scott Fitzgerald's <i>Tender Is the Night</i> and examine the theme of mental illness as it presents in the novel. Learners will use critical thinking skills to examine other literature from different time periods with themes similar to <i>Tender Is the Night</i> and compare and contrast what they have learned. The student will demonstrate their knowledge through a test (which includes two short essays) and long essay assignment. A rubric is provided.
