Discover Sloths!

This webquest took around 10 hours to complete. Animals is a fun topic, and sloths are the trending animal currently today! It is a fun and engaging way for students to use technology to research and develop knowledge on sloths. The aspects of a sloth can be related back to the student's life. The student can make thought provoking comparisons to their lives to that of sloths to describe similarities and differences. This activity empowers students to engage in their learning objectives and builds social and critically thinking skills. 

Standards

Writing Standard Grade 2.7: Use information gained from the illustrations and words in a print or digital text to demonstrate understanding of its characters, setting, or plot. This activity incorporates this standard and requires students to demonstrate understanding of the topic of sloths. Additionally students will learn to identify the appropriate setting (habitat) about sloths.

UDL Standard Recruiting Interest 7.2: This activity engages students in a subject (animals) that commonly interest them. A variety of age appropriate activities that include video, fun webpages, and innovative google slide show. Students of varying cultural, social backgrounds can incorporate their personal beliefs to the response and presentation portion of the lesson.
