Exploring the Continents

This WebQuest is geared for students in first to third grade.  In this WebQuest students review what the continents look like, work in groups to research their continent and country, and apply what they have learned to writing a persuasive letter to their principal persuading her to visit their continent and country.

This WebQuest addresses the following Delaware Grade Level Expectations:
Geography Standard One: Students will develop a personal geographic framework, or mental map, and understand the uses of maps and other geographics.
Geography Standard One K-3a:  Students will understand the nature and uses of maps, globes, and other geo-graphics.
Geography Standard Four K-3a:  Students will be able to use the concepts of place and region to explain simple patterns of connections between and among places across the country and the world.
ELA Standard One:  Students will use written and oral English appropriate for various purposes and audiences.
