Significant Battles of the American Revolution.

Teacher Page

As a teacher you are aware that there are many ways for students to learn.  In the past, professors lectured to students; thereby, emparting their knowledge.  Times are changing and learning is now a two way street.  Students actually learn more by becoming the "teacher" which is a means of active learning.

Asking your students to become the teacher will help them learn the subject - in many ways.  They will do research, develop a PowerPoint (writing what they learn), get feedback from a partner, revise their presentation, and impart "their" knowledge.  This is a fabulous way for students to be actively involved in their learning.

For your convenience, a detailed rubric has been created, not only for the students to better understand how they are graded, but also for you to grade their work more efficiently.

This process will become an opportunity for both the students and the teacher to learn.  Enjoy!
