How math makes you money!
Teacher Page
This webquest allows students to create their own business and product that is similar to a real-life model. They will determine the price of a product and expenses that are allocated with making the product. Ultimately, students will be able to find the break-even point to determine how many products they must sell to break-even. They will also analyse consumer buying trends to estimate how long it would take to sell X number of products. This allows for creativity and spiked interests, and above all the realization of making money when running your own business.
For exceptional learners modifications may be made in the presentation type, instructions, and content.
I would suggest providing said business, product, price, and / or expenses to simplify the lesson if needed.
