We are glad to provide you this useful tool to assess speaking. In this webquest students will have to search and report information about different English speaking countries

The task will take two classes to prepare the report and one class to present.


Instructions:

- First the students will get in groups of 6 and choose a country from the list

-Then the students will search information about historical events, main features (location, holidays, tradional food,costume music,etc.) and some locations in a map.

-After this the students will have to prepare an online poster including the information

- At the end the students will have to present the poster in front of the class and talk about what they searched

The webquest was planned for levels from 9 to 12, specifically 11th grade.


Credits

We are very thankfull of being capable of learning how to create a webquest. It has been an interesting process through our TICS course at the university, we have discovered different tools and this is one of them. We hope to use it in the future!

    Description: Description: This is the file of the curriculum which we based our webquest on. The topic number two called "The world of English" was the one that we covered through this activity. Specifically the subtopics considered were "English speaking countries", "Historical development", "Geographical characteristics", among others. With this webquest students are able not only to learn new grammatical structures, but also to learn about culture by practicing their speaking skills
