Coral Reefs

Focus: The focus of this webquest is coral reefs: what it is, the three main types and the types found in the Caribbean.


Objective: The students will define what coral reef is, state the three main types, identify the types found in the Caribbean and create a model on each using the attached links and materials provided.

1. Define coral reefs and identify the three main types.

2. Identify the different types found in the Caribbean giving specific examples of where.

Notes:

This webquest can be taught using any grade 9 Geography textbook.

The webquest is meant to be a partner activity, but can be used done by individuals.
