This web quest covers a science unit that deals with endangered species. Students will not only learn what endangered species are, but focus on a specific animal of there choice and learn several things about it. Students will also grasp knowledge of how humans can help endangered species from becoming extinct. Finally, the students will share what they have learned to the class, so that other students can gain information about several other endangered species. 

Standards

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.5.7 - Conduct short research projects that use several sources to build knowledge through investigation of different aspects of a topic.
LAFS.5.RI.3.9- Integrate information from several texts on the same topic in order to write or speak about the subject knowledgeably.
SC.35.CS-CP.1.3 - Identify, research, and collect a data set on a topic, issue, problem, or question using age-appropriate technologies.

Research and information fluency -Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information.
a. Locate, organize, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and ethically use information from a variety of sources and media.
Communication and collaboration- Students use digital media and environments to communicate and work collaboratively contribute to project teams to produce original works or solve problems.
