This web quest is on security and this web quest provides basic knowledge and
reasonable background of information assurance and security at both the
software and network levels. It enables students develop their understanding of
basic concepts of network security protocols, public and secret key
cryptography, active and passive attacks, data privacy, secure communications,
and secure software design.

Learning Outcomes At the end of this web quest, students will be able to:
� Understand the key security properties (Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability) and Analyze the tradeoffs between them
� Identify software security threats and network attacks
� Implement security practices to detect and defend software platforms and data communications
� Utilize secure software design practices and principals of defensive programing
