Other

My hook for this lesson is to ask students about past experiences that have to do with the ocean. Whether they have been to the ocean before and/or what knowledge they have about the ocean.
Prior knowledge of the ocean, and past experiences will help them answer the essential question. I included an extension question, as the virtual field trip talks about how the ocean is helpful to us, as a way to extend the student's thinking a little further.
