Presidential Elections in the US

Dear colleagues,

This WebQuest can be used with high school students, college students and adults whose level of English is B2 or higher and who are interested in the history and culture of the USA. I designed this WebQuest as a part of the American Studies Course I teach at a high school in Moscow. Thus, the students are supposed to be familiar with the history and know some basic facts about the political system of the US.  

Mind that the main goal of this WebQuest is to develop students' sociocultural competence but it can be also seen as a tool to enhance their speaking and teamwork skills. 

Furthermore, this WebQuest is easily adaptable for any political situation (as long as the two-party system remains in place:)

Standards

The WebQuest meets the high school curriculum and the Russian National Educational Standards.
