Forces of Change on Earth

This webquest is designed to allow second-graders to find evidence about land changes. The webquest uses simpler language than upper grades and relies on video and images more than text, so that academic vocabulary is not an issue and the webquest can be done more independently.  There are two text-rich pages linked, but one allows the content to be read aloud to the student. Just viewing content only, the webquest would take less than an hour to complete (around 45 minutes). If you have students take notes, or write down evidence whether the change is a slow one or quick one, the webquest will take 60 minutes or more.

Standard for grade 2: ESS1C Use information from several sources to provide evidence that Earth events (volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, erosion) can occur quickly or slowly.
