Requests for the Lesson plan for this module and the White Fang Study can
be submitted to me at Johnston@email.arizona.edu. The module is designed to aid students in understanding setting as one of the literary components of a story by showing how a writer may draw on personal experience to create that setting. It is one of several modules in my White Fang lesson Plan. This module lasts three 90 minute class periods Students may need advice on using PowerPoint.

Standards

All standards according to State of Arizona Finalized ELP Standards.
1. Identify the components of various types of oral presentations
2. Analyze the delivery of various types of oral presentations
3. Develop confidence when speaking in front of an audience.
4. Gain a comfort level when speaking in front of an audience.
5. Understand the importance of decorum for speaker and audience
6. Perform impromptu speeches based on an extemporaneous topic
7. Begin to develop eye contact and enthusiasm when speaking in front of audience
