Genetic Disorders Webquest

 

This web quest is designed to be appropriate for grade 11/12 biology students who already have a good background knowledge of genetics, DNA, and cell biology. This project would be most effective if the students had completed or nearly completed the genetics unit in their biology course. The project directly relates to New York State Standard 4:

Students will understand and apply scientific concepts, principles, and theories pertaining to the physical setting and living environment and recognize the historical development of ideas in science.

This project specifically relates to the living environment portion of the standard in that students will learn about and apply their knowledge of human genetics.
