I would recommend teachers starting this interdisciplinary project during the third or fourth week of schoo; after you have established class rules, reviewed word processing and creating PowerPoint presentations.   This way, the students will have some background knowledge about creating PowerPoint presentations, note taking and summarizing details allowing them to complete the WebQuest with the teacher acting as a facilitator.
