WebQuest
Simple Machines-Discovering Things
Teacher Page
This Web Quest is meant to help
third to fifth grade students get a better understanding of simple machines.
The main objective is to get them to see that simple machines are in use all
around them in all sorts of situations.
One of the best parts about teaching simple machines is the ease of
demonstrations. Virtually any item in a typical classroom can be used such as
rulers, pencil sharpeners, the doorknob, light switches, drawers, even the
students' own bodies.
