Global Warming

This webquest will help students develop their writing, listening, organizing, creative and thinking skills. Through the topic of Global Warming, students learn new information important for their future development and their life. The time needed for this webquest are two weeks. During the first week, students read articles and write summaries. During the second week, students prepare their project.

Students are assigned to do five tasks. They work
divided in four groups and do the tasks from 1-4. After they finish with those
tasks, they are divided in two major groups and work on the final project �
task 5.

This webquest starts by dividing the students in four
groups. Then, the teacher assigns each group to do one task (1-4). Students first
read the articles provided and then write summaries for the article they have
read. Students are given one week to write the summaries.

After that, students start working on the project. The
project consists of writing essays (one per group) and a PowerPoint
presentation (one per group). They have to finish the project in a week.

This webquest was created in order to develop
students� writing skills, creativity, thinking skills and to be better in group
works.

Standards

This webquest is designed for intermediate students of English. It can be used with eight-graders and high-school students.
