WebQuest
Emmett Till
Teacher Page
The web quest that we completed in fifth-grade social studies is the study of the story of Emmett Till and how it sparked the Civil Rights Movement. It took two weeks for the students to complete the finished product both in class and for homework. This project is very flexible. You can allow the students to complete this web quest and the project as an in class assignment or as a homework assignment. IT'S YOUR CHOICE!!! |

I would like to take this time to thank my professor of Social Studies Method in an Elementary Classroom, Dr. Pickett, for introducing me to this website and the idea of creating a web quest for instruction. He took the time to show me how to make an effective web quest that I could use in my classroom in the future. I would also like to the thank the Google search engine for providing me with different websites that I used to gather photos, a you-tube video, and relevant information about the story of Emmett Till.
