The Power of Teamwork

Focus:
This WebQuest focuses on teamwork and its power in everyday life.  It is designed to help students identify key elements in the build-up of effective teamwork, and appreciate how teams contribute to success in many spheres, be it humanity or the animal world.

 

Objectives/Goals:
I recommend that this WebQuest is given after the topic of teamwork is briefly introduced as part of the PSD Syllabus. Having worked through the WebQuest, the students will grasp knowledge of what it takes to build a team, following which they would have a good basis for the next class when the topic of teamwork is dealt with.  The next lesson would then consolidate the key elements through hands-on activities, so that students get the opportunity to apply them and learn by doing.  The Objectives/Goals of the WebQuest are:

• appreciate the value of teamwork and how joining forces leads to a greater force than if working individually (synergy)
• identify what key elements contribute towards the build-up of a team
