Presidents: Yesterday and Today

Focus:

The focus of this webquest is to give the students knowledge of the presidents of the past and present.  It will allow them to know the qualifications of the president, the White House, and individual presidents.

Objectives/Goals:

The goal of this webquest is to allow students to learn about the president of their choice and the duties of the President of the United States.

The students will be able to:

5.5.3-Write research reports about important ideas, issues, or events by using the following guidelines: frame questions that direct the investigation, establish a main idea or topic, develop the topic with simple facts, details, examples, and explanations, and use a variety of information sources, including firsthand interviews, reference materials, and electronic resources, to locate information for the report.

Prerequisite Skills:  Comfort level with the internet and Smart Borad.

Time Required: 5 days; 4 days for lessons and preparation (50 minutes) and 1 day for presentation.

Computer and SmartBoard accessibility.
