WebQuest

Missouri Wetland Plants

Teacher Page

20121016105653Qurun.jpg

This webquest is about wetland plants in Missouri. It is designed to introduce third grade students to Missouri's wetlands and the types of plants that grow there. The larger goal would be to spark long term interest in Missouri's natural resources and the importance of protecting them.

The webquest should take about forty-five minutes to complete.
I would recommend that the students be taught how to write a friendly letter before attempting this webquest. The webquest would be good practice for friendly letter writing skills.
The book, Life in a Wetland by Carol Lindeen would be a good resource if a teacher wants to use a book with this webquest. There is also a Wetlands Reading List available at water.epa.gov.
