Minerals and Rocks

This webquest was created for third grade students with the following standards in mind:

Students will investigate the physical attributes of rocks.

• Explain the difference between a rock and a mineral.
•  Recognize the physical attriburs of rocks and minerals using observation, measruement, and simple tests).

 

Students can work in pairs or individually.  The webquest could also be assigned as an at-home project, with the exception of the part involving the investigation of rocks.
