When I Grow Up... My Future Career

Focus: This WebQuest was designed for Career Orientation students in the 7th &/or 8th grade.  It will help guide them through researching a career of their interest and learning more about that career.

 

 

Objectives: Students will choose a career from one of the sixteen career clusters that best matches their aptitudes, interests, and skills.  Students will investigate this career through research on the Internet.  Students will design a PowerPoint presentation to inform classmates on this career.

 

 

Resources: Prior to this lesson/project the students will need to complete the Self-Awareness Unit (2) to learn more about their own aptitudes, skills, and interests. The students will need to have identified a career cluster which the identify with the most.  They will need to understand Microsoft PowerPoint and its features and functions.
