The Buzz about Bees

     To fulfill your responsibilities as an apprentice beekeeper you and your partner will conduct some research on bees using the provided websites and by completing the Scavenger Hunt found on the process page.  Additionally, both of you will complete the worksheets provided for you on the process page.  On the first worksheet you will need to label the body parts of the bee. The next set (4) will help you learn about where and what crops bees pollinate. 

      As a new beekeeper you will want to be able to answer these three important questions:

      1.  What is the purpose of raising honey bees?

      2.  Do bees have an impact on your life?

      3.  What would happen if bees disappeared?

      After you complete these assignments you will be ready to prove your knowledge of bees by creating a Powerpoint presentation with 8-10 slides. The final task will be for you and your partner to present your PowerPoint to your boss (teacher), and the other beekeeper apprentices (classmates).
