The Retirement Party

Jackie will have to present her final ideas to her supervisor. Jackie can do the presentation in one of three ways. She can:

1. Create a PowerPoint Presentation
2. She can create a flyer that will used to send out invitations
3. She can meet with her supervisor and just share with him the details and costs, using a spreadsheet.

Jackie begins to make a list of all the things she needs to research. 

1.  Decide on the theme of the party.
2.  Decide what kind of food and beverages will be served at the party.
3.  Decide what she will do for entertainment.
5.  Create a shopping list of items needed.
6.  Visit a variety of websites to find the best price for desired items.
7.  Keep a log of the items and how much they cost from each website.
8.  Determine where the best buy for each item is.  
9.  Subtract money from your budget to determine if you have stayed within your budget or not.

 Important Things to Keep In Mind:
1. There will be 30 people, including you, at the party.
2. You have $3,000 to spend on your party.
3. Be very careful not to go over budget.
