Plant Structure

Today you will become a botanist, a scientist who studies plants.  You will be responsible for discovering the different parts of a plant and these parts fulfill certain jobs. You must also identify the important things needed for plants to grow and the different life cycles of certain plants.  

You will work in three preassigned groups in order to research plants and their life cycles and each group member will fill out a worksheet while doing his or her research. 

After completing your research you and your fellow botanists will create a poster on the plant assigned to you.  On the poster you must illustrate the plant, label it's parts and their functions, and then show how you grew your plant. Be prepared to present your poster to the class.
