A computer is a device, invented for complex calculations.

The father of computers is Charles Babbage.

Nowadays it is used for a plethora of other purposes such as sending and recieving data, gaming, office presentations, animations, etc.

There are multiple Operating Systems that are made for all kinds of computers.

Basic components are :

Keyboard

Mouse

Display(monitor)

secondary components are:

Speakers

Printers

and so on

There are 5 generations of computers

1940–1956:First Generation–Vacuum Tubes

1957–1963:Second Generation–Transistors

1964–1971:Third Generation–Integrated Circuits

1972–2010:Fourth Generation-Microprocessors

2010-present:Fifth Generation – Artificial Intelligence.

They have become so cheap and small nowadays, while getting even more powerful.

It has become a mainstream device, as opposed to what it was before.
