Building your Poetry Tool Box

In this webquest, you will get acquainted with literary devices, read through examples of poems and songs lyrics,  learn to identify literary devices and there effect in a piece of writing. Then, you will use the information that you have learned about poems and literary devices to create your own poems. 

1. You will become acquainted with literary devices used in writing.

2. You will use the definitions of literary devices that have been provided to you to identify which devices are used in provided examples.

3.  You will brows through poems and song lyrics, familiarizing yourself with how these devices are practically used. 

4. You will test your knowledge by dissecting poems and song lyrics down by devices used and rhymes scheme. 

5.  Next you will begin creating. You will pick 5 literary devices and provide original examples of each one. 

6. Finally, you will create two of your own poems. You will be give guidelines about how many devices to you for one and rhyme scheme for the second.
