Reading Comprehension Strategies

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

1) Identify the four types of question and answer relationship through class discussion;

2) Answer questions from the four QAR levels based on the comprehension passage read;

3) Listen attentively to the instructions of the teacher and to the views of others;

4) Read the comprehension passage together;

5) Work co-operatively in groups to complete assigned tasks;

6) Create a concept map of the QAR using Microsoft Word:

7) Demonstrate personal response to the passage by answering questions asked by teacher.
