Fascinating Fossils
Task
Get ready to become a paleontologist as you dig deeper for answers! In this series of tasks found below, you must learn more information about fossils and prepare for your final project.
1. Research the teacher approved websites to learn more about what fossils are, how they are formed, and different types of fossils.
2. After you are finished researching, you will be given a mold of a fossil. Using this mold you will need to create a model of the fossil by using a material of your choice. Along with your model, you must include the following information in the form of a poster, brochure, slideshow, or diorama:
- What are fossils? Include at least one picture.
- How are fossils formed? Include at least one picture.
- What are the different types of fossils? Compare and Contrast each one by using a t-chart.
- Where are fossils found? Explain your answer. Include at least one picture.
- Display your fossil model.
The final score of your product will be determined by a rubric. (Look under evaluation for rubric).
