Mock Trial: Your Role!

Your task is to visit the sites on this WebQuest to gain as much knowledge as possible about Mock Trial.  This includes:

• legal terms and vocabulary (you gotta know what you're talking about!)
• the steps in Mock Trial
• roles
• sample opening and closing statements (do you have what it takes to win a case?)
• sample lines of questioning:
•  direct
• indirect
• cross
• recross
• the Mock Trial rules
• objections!!  (are you man/woman enough to make one?)
• introducing evidence into the trial
• criminal vs. civil trials

• Once you're done visiting, prepare a one-page "job application" stating which role you'd like and why.  You MUST cite at least four specific reasons based on your visit to this WebQuest.
