Michigan History

Task

Now that you know what you are researching, it is time to start! As an author, you have to find information about your topic before you can write about it. When writing a research paper, it is important that you stick to the facts and steer clear of your personal opinion. In order to make sure that you are only finding facts, I have provided several websites for each topic. Find the topic you are responsible for and start browsing the websites. Remember! You are going to use what you learn to write your research, so take plenty of notes! Use the sheet I hand out in class to keep these notes on.

**CAUTION** Your notes should not be a word-for-word piece of any article. You MUST put what you learn into your own words AND keep it short and simple!

Having trouble reading articles on the internet? Come see me and we can discuss printing your article out!
