This WebQuest is an opportunity for you to express your opinion about the reasons leading up to an issue of your choice from the novel.  You will use several sources to illustrate your opinion.  Here are some questions to think about.  What do you think were the most important historical events leading up to the story in To Kill a Mockingbird?  Were the unfair  events doomed to happen?  What mistakes did society make?  What happened to society's character values?

1.  Choose your topic from the list OR choose one of your own.  Remember,  You are expressing your own opinion.

2.  Research your specific topic using the high school media center's online sites. I have included a note page for you to fill out as you go.

3.  Download a picture or short you tube video you feel represents your chosen topic and the reason the topic leads up to the issue  from the novel. You will share the picture or video clip during your speech.

4.  Create a mind map to illustrate your findings. This mind map will become part of your final presentation.

5.  Present your ideas to the class in an informative speech.

6.  Complete the five sentence reflection after the speech.
