What Should I Feed My Cows?

The object of this project is for the learner to become familiar with the different feeds and feeding styles of cattle, sheep, or meat goats in Virginia, and develop a one year plan including what will be fed and how it will be accomplished.  The learner will choose a specie and location in Virginia and research information to help them create a feeding program.  By the end of the assignment, the learner should be more aware of crops grown in Virginia, production costs, and livestock nutrition, gaining the ability to think more like a farmer.
