You and your friend will work together to complete the following steps:

Step 1: Print out the Research Guide worksheet located in the resource section below.  You will use this page to take notes.

Step 2: Use the links provided on the Native Missouri Resources to decide on your tribe.  Gain approval from your teacher before you begin your research!

Step 3: Use the  links on the Native Missouri Resource page below to help you gather information about your tribe once you have decided which one to study.

Step 4:  After completing your notes on the Research Guide (see resources below), you and your partner will create a Power Point presentation to present to the class. Your presentation should be accurate and give the viewers a good understanding of your tribe's way of life.  You should strive to create at least 10 slides of information. This includes the title page and bibliography. * The first slide, or title page, should contain the name of your tribe and you and your partner's names. The last slide should be  bibliography listing all the resources used.

Step 5:  Finally you and your partner will create a realistic diorama of your tribe's type of housing shown in its environment.  Use the Diorama Rubric in the resources section below to help you finish your project.  You may use only natural materials such as dirt, gravel, sticks, bark, fabric, string, leather and clay (with the exception of your people) You may use cardboard, glue, tape, staples, etc. to hold your project together, but those materials must be covered with natural materials so that they do not show.
