Each child will be divided into a group of four

1.  Build your team: one member will be responsible for being the reporter, one will be the breakfast forecaster, one will be the lunch forecaster and the last one will be the dinner forecaster.

2.  Each member is going to brainstorm some ideas and thoughts about nutrition and how to create a healthy balanced meal.  While brainstorming, each member will try to come up with some of their own ideas which later can be validated by research.

*Brainstorming is simply writing down all your ideas on a piece of paper*

3. Now to begin your research here is a list of links you can read through to find facts on nutrition.

http://www.thecolor.com/Category/Coloring/Fruit.aspx

(You can use this website to color in a picture of a fruit, vegetable, dairy product or meat product to use in your weather forecast)

4.   Each member will then use the information collected and perform their specific task.  The reporter will write down all the facts that they learned about the different food groups.  The inventors/nutritionists when then create a well balanced meal based off the information collected.

5.  After completing this task, each member will get back together with the group and compare the information gathered.  The reporter will then interview each member of the group and ask about their research.  At the end the reporter will report the weather forecast to the rest of the class.
