Phase1:

The students will be given a handout that has the following information on it. This handout tells the students exactly what s expected of them. Then explain the assignment. As Spring Break approaches think about the plans you and your family have. Are you going somewhere, or are you staying home? Over break document what you are doing, and analyze how active you where. Try and incorporate being active into your daily routine. The standards you are responsible for are to participate in moderate to vigorous activity for at least four days and participate in challenging actives that maintain the five components of physical fitness (Physical, 2006). The five components are muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and body fat composition. Over the course of your week off you will record how active you are by taking pictures of what you are doing, and writing down the time you spent doing it. Than you will enter all findings into Excel (data) and Power point (pictures).

Handout

Over your break you are to find ways to be Physically active. These activities may look like, going for a walk/run daily, going for a hike, riding your bike, roller blading, skate boarding, going fishing, playing sports, ect. This is a five-part activity. Part one is in class research. Part two is gathering data during your break. Part three is inputting data (in class). Part four in class presentation. Part five is a Journal.
