Case study :

Each of you will follow instructions

1. Handle the glass equipments with care.

2. Report your observations carefully.

3. Explore the activities independently.

4. After the completion of both activities tabulate obsevations.


Ideas:


Solutions can be of three types and they can be distinguised on the basis of thier physical properties.



Activity1: Take a 50ml beaker filled with 40 ml water. Add 10g of sugar into it . Stir it gently . Now fill the table.

Activity2: Label the sugar solution obtained in the above activity as sample1 and then make sand and dettol solutions similarly and label them as sample2 and sample 3 respectively. Then keep them aside for a while and observe for transparency. Filter these samples and report observations. Also pass light through the samples and observe what happens in all the three cases.
