The Adventures of Odysseus

MOTIVATION:

1. The teacher would instruct the students to close their eyes and clear their minds.
2. The teacher would play a soothing music on the background to help the students concentrate.
3. Then, the teacher would then play and audio presentation about the synopsis of The Odyssey.
4. While the students are busy listening, the teacher would post pictures (not arranged accordingly) of the different characters and places that Odysseus went through.
5. Then, the teacher would ask for volunteers to go to the board and arrange the pictures correctly.
6. The students who volunteered would be given additional recitation points.

DISCUSSION:

1. The teacher would first give a brief overview of the biography of the author of the selection.
2. Then, the teacher would introduce the different characters in the story and a short description of each.
3. Lastly, the teacher would discuss the story.

ACTIVITY:

1. The teacher would divide the class into groups.
2. Each group would represent the different events that took place in the story.
3. The students would be given time to create a short skit about the event assigned to them.
4. The skit would be presented on the next meeting.

QUIZ

1. After everything has been done, the teacher would give a quiz to test whether the students understood the lesson or not.
