Fractions - Add/subtract with Same/Related Denominators (ACMNA126)

This lesson is used to assess your prior learning.

There will be some quizzes from the IXL website, these will test your knowledge of adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator, and equivalent fractions.  If you need a refresher on equivalent fractions click on the link at the end of this line to an interactive activity that will help you out, (have as much practise as you need). If you feel that you need to use a fraction wall or fraction blocks to complete these quizzes please come and see me, I will let you know if you are allowed to use these learning aids.
These quizzes are a formal assessment of your prior learning, so there is to be no interaction between students. Every student will have different questions in these quizzes, so don't copy your neighbours answers.

1. Click on the IXL Login link.
2. Login using your designated account name and password. 
3. Once you have logged in go to Level G, then click on the line See all 243 Level-G skills
4. Click on the J.2 button, this has been highighted for you.
5. This will take you to the quiz on adding and subtracting fractions using a number line.
6. Complete this quiz, then once complete click on the keep practising at the bottom of the page.
7. Go to section I, and click on the I.4 button, then complete this quiz, once again click on the keep practising button
   
8. Then complete the quizzes J.3, J.4, and J.10.

If time permits, we will have a class quiz of fractions on the Kahoot! website.

3. Choose a nickname.
