Exploring the Amazon Rainforest
Process
You have been assigned a partner to work with. Make sure you read all directions and follow them step by step.
Monday
Step 1: You or your partner need to get your Chromebook and take it back to your desks.
Step 2: One of you will begin researching plants that live in the rainforest.
Use this link to being learning about plants in the rainforest.
The other person will record the information that you find.
Use the worksheet at the bottom of this page, Rainforest Plants Reseach Worksheet, to fill out the information your partner finds about plants living in the rainforest.
Step 3: You or your partner need to return your Chromebook to the cart. Plug them in so they can charge.
Tuesday
Step 1: You or your partner need to get your Chromebook and take it back to your desks.
Step 2: If you were the recorder yesterday, today you get to be the researcher.
Use this link to being learning about animals in the rainforest.
If you were the researcher yesterday, today you get to be the recorder.
Use the worksheet at the bottom of this page, Rainforest Animals Research Worksheet, to fill out the information your partner finds about animals living in the rainforest.
Step 3: You or your partner need to return your Chromebook to the cart. Plug them in so they can charge.
Wednesday
Step 1: You or your partner need to get your Chromebook and take it back to your desks.
Step 2: Time to make a decision.
With your partner look at the information that you found on plants and animals that live in the rainforest.
Decide which animal is your favorite.
Decide which plant is your favorite.
Use the worksheet at the bottom of the page, Rainforest Presentation Worksheet, to record information on your favorite animal and plant. You and your partner will use this for your presentations to the class on Friday.
Step 3: You or your partner need to return your Chromebook to the cart. Plug them in so they can charge.
Thursday
Step 1: You and your partner both need to get your Chromebooks and take them back to your desks.
Step 2: You and your partner need to get out your headphones.
Step 3: You and your partner can now go on a virtual field trip of the Amazon Rainforest by clicking the link below.
Step 4: Discuss with your partner your rainforest field trip. What did you like, what did you learn, what could you add to your presentation?
Step 5: With your partner look at your information for your rainforest presentation.

Do you have more information that you would like to add?
Make sure your presentation is ready for Friday.
Step 6: You and your partner need to return your Chromebooks to the cart. Plug them in so they can charge.
Friday
Step 1: Get with your partner and look over your presentation information.
Step 2: With your partner present to the class your favorite animal and plant from the rainforest.
One person will present the animal, and one person will present the plant.
Step 3: On the back of your presentation worksheet write what your favorite part of learning about the rainforest.
Step 4: Make sure your name in on your presentation worksheet and your research worksheet.
Step 5: Turn in both worksheets in the science tray.
