Process

1. Take some time to "surf" through websites. Try and decide on who you would like to defend. Document some websites that you find useful. You can copy and paste the link into Microsoft word.

2. Once you choose a villain to defend, find out as much information about this person as possible. You can cut and paste important information into Microsoft word.

3. After you have researched and found enough information for your villain, summarize the important parts of his/her life. Make sure you detail what the character did to "break the law." You will need to analyze all of this to prepare your persuasive argument that you will include in your letter to the judge.

4. Think about what kind of community service your villain could do to help persuade the judge and jury in your favor. Make sure that the community service is relevant to the setting that the character is living in.

5. Begin writing your letter to the judge. Select the resource below to help guide you in writing your letter.

6. Once the letter is complete, you will present your letter to the jury (your classmates.) The jury will decide the fate of your defendant( Disney villain.)

7. I will be available during class to answer questions. Take your time and have fun with this. Since this is our first WebQuest, we will take our time and once we get a sense of how things are going, will then assign a due date.
